The name Deme refers to a population and a relationship of an individual and society. Motifs of artworks are presented straight out, but works are allegories on human, community and society too. A functionality of community is a priority, but to recognize a uniqueness of an individual existence is important.
Reality with numerous details appears as a chaos. A need to generalize objects and creatures is caused by a sense of losing a control. Not to see individuals as they are leads to communal conflicts in relationships of humans. A manner to classify group of humans maybe protects some other society but does not do an individual justice.
On the other hand, it seems that humankind drives the planet to the situation, where whims and solutions of individuals are not any more possible, but everybody should act on the right way from the viewpoint of the common good and the living environment.
In principle, exactly everything is unique since on a particle level. By a concept of time it could be perceived, that anything in the raw has existed before, and nothing will be repeated absolute identically – even it sometimes looks and feels like that. So, everything happens all the time at the first time.
Deme exhibition touches on these themes presenting elements and sets. The starting points of art works are anyway in a strictly visual perception. A premiere of the exhibition was in March 2020, but coronavirus stoped the show after 10 days. A new, little bit larger show was in 2023.
